Greetings from the tip of England!

Still here in the UK, still having a wonderful time, every day doing something fun and different. Today's adventure was to drive to the tip of England, Land's End. Turned out to be a foggy day, but we were there long enough to catch a lull in the fog where we could see almost forever out into the Atlantic Ocean.

Not quite as pretty as Gwbert (to me, see my header) and very busy with tourists, but still very cool.

Been doing great physically here, if anyone remembers my extreme whining over my left knee since injuring it, um, bowling. It took FOREVER to heal, but happily it has held up just great, and today tromping all over the rocks and trails today, I felt strong and handled it just great. Definitely crossed over a threshold, I think, getting used to all this running around. :)

OMG the weather here. Just OMG. OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG... I got COLD last night. COLD. BRRRRR. With the house all closed up, COLD! WTH?! Love it! Am sitting here with a down blanket on me! I love it!

Plymouth is a nice little place. Has its own charm, there are lots of dogs around which is fun, and it is VERY hilly. Nick has quite the trek to and from work every day. But the coast is RIGHT THERE, and though that means lots of seagulls flitting around, they aren't so pesky that one wants to shoot them. LOL. They are still fairly pesky though.

Tomorrow we are going to buy Nick's fish! He bought an aquarium yesterday before we left Cardiff (handy having a car while I am here, lol, we also did an Ikea run) and tomorrow we will get the fish. Nick is already working on the name.

Finished my Big Bang! Yup, tis done! The ending sucks! But I will worry about that after I do the final rewrite, when I am, sob, home. Sigh. I dropped out of Reel Merlin. Will be choosing a KMM prompt, and will be working on original fiction again, and going to school and working and...damn. Yeah.

I am feeling very very dark and depressed regarding what I am hearing about concerning the new GRRM book, Dance of Dragons. So much so that I am not sure I am going to bother reading it. Heartbreaking a bit, this.

We're just hanging out here, me writing this post and relaxing and considering ripping out my contacts, and Nick is talking to Klaudia, who is still in Poland a few more days before she comes to the UK (and Ireland).

More posts later--just gonna leave you with a couple of pics. Me from today at Land's End, and my favorite Cardiff photo, as we were walking around by the Barrage. Oh and a picture from Puzzlewood, the Forest of Dean. GORGEOUS in there. GORGEOUS.

Well dang it, didn't realize until now this is slightly out of focus. Oh well!

Cheers!
