When you can combine working out and dieting it goes so much faster. Hopefully your knee will stop hurting soon. But swimming would probably help a lot. You can work it slowly in a weightless type environment. I know just getting in the water feels amazing with all the extra baby weight. Plus if you choose to do lap swimming you can use a pull buoy which (in case you aren't familiar) goes between your knees to keep them floating and you use your arms in a crawl stroke or back stroke. Great upper body workout if it is still tender on your knee.
