Looking for a few warm bodies to read original fic
Been contemplating this for a bit, not sure if there'd be any interest, but I think I'd enjoy having a handful of readers for my Lee fic--maybe mostly those who read Red previously, or the fic in its original form. I think posting a chapter a week on Mondays like I did with Red would help keep me motivated, too...and frankly, fresh eyes would be welcome for flub-ups, things that are confusing, off-characterization (very intriguing, recapturing personalities from so long ago), etc. Mostly though to keep my motivation going--writing a chapter a week always worked great for me in the past, so thought I'd try it again.
Of course, July 1 to 20th or so, there'd be nothing, as I'll be in Wales and Germany. WHEE!
Anyone interested--I'm screening comments for grins (lol something I've never done before, so heck, will try it out!) rather than post my email.

although i am sure you figured i would be interested. :P
but no, seriously, it'd be nice. i am profoundly disappointed with the lack of workshopping (not sure if that's the right word but it seems to fit) in my life since i've come home from university. when i was at school, we used to workshop pieces all the time. so i'm missing it badly right about now.
anyway. yes. me. interested :)

I miss interacting about writing, too. So if you have something you are working on, holler!
I'm also writing in a couple of fandoms now--Being Human, which I adore (a BBC show), and Torchwood.

hmmm perhaps. every once in a while i poke around the journal's of folks i used to read regularly. it's interesting: three years doesn't feel like a long time when it comes to some things, but an ETERNITY for others. the fact that i am going into my third year university? blows my mind on a regular basis.
on writing...that is my summer goal this year. to get back into the writing regularly thing. when i was in school, i did a LOT of writing but most of it was either a) papers or b) articles for jclass/articles for the school paper/copy. granted, it was all very enjoyable, but it wasn't exactly pleasure writing. i've started kind of...well, not even really WRITING but thinking and brainstorming some ideas for a summer project. it'll likely end on lj at some point. likely.
i find it odd that i have not watched either of those shows yet i have heard a LOT about them. particularly torchwood. to make it even more strange, based on what i've heard? these shows would be right up my alley and i have not watched. perhaps i will add them to my summer television guide. haha.

Writign a chapter once a week worked so brilliantly for Red. I know it was mostly mental, but just knowing that there are people out there ready to poke sticks at me if I don't buckle down and write (which has been hard for me lately) will help.
So yeah! 7 people willing to poke me with sharp sticks to make sure I am writing (even if it is drivel) is fantastic. :)

My autographed cover? :frown: I've been waiting by my mailbox for an awful long time.

You decide. :-) And I completely understand if you need more regular readers than I can be.

Am I weird? Of course!
And I will not be doing this during July because of my trip. Mostly it will be after that. LOL.
Of course, now I worry that it is dorky... GRIN.

This reminds me of one of my clients, who gave me a walking stick made out of wood for my birthday. It has a very pointy end.
But I'd rather nudge you gently, okay?
