Yes, just deleted a lot of nonsense. Tomorrow is another day, after all.

So, Nanowrimo! Who on here is doing it? I know a ton of my flisters are writing for various comm events and such, but if any of you out there are doing Nano in November in addition to or instead of and want to friend me over there I am once again Tatteredleaf.

Fifteen days to go until my book is out. EEEK. I am both excited and terribly, terribly nervous. There are things I did in the book that I probably should not have (a certain explosion comes to mind) and I could've done other parts different, and possibly therefore better, but... No no, don't think about that, it'll drive a person crazy.

I have absolutely forbidden myself to look on GoodReads, so if anyone sees me trying to sneak over there, smack me. I know it is in my best interest to just stay away from general commenting re: the book. Oh hey, it is a new month, I shall dash off... okay never mind. It is still under the Coming Soon. No blurb yet! *panic* I want to see what it ends up being. Argh. Not yet though.

And that is all, for now. Holler if you are on Nanowrimo, yo. I got 53k last year and hope to get that again, though being in school may cause a bit of a challenge.

Oh hai!

I've been a member of nano since 2009 but last year was when I finally got my act together and actually did it. It about killed me but by golly, got it done. It was pretty rocky stuff that I produced though, and took a lot of work to polish. I've finished another story since then, and that is much, much better, and I'm polishing that up now to send in to my editor, so I am hoping THIS time, I'll be super ready to produce a much-better first draft. Except for not knowing what to write, that is. LOL!

You should try it! It is a lot of fun - mostly, I enjoyed it this past time as I got to know some local people, and made several good friends out of it all.

I'm hoping to do it again, even if I only set myself the target of a half-Nano. I'm still heleninwales and I think I already have you as a Nano friend, but I will check and make sure.

I can't do a proper Nano because I want to continue with something I started some years ago, so it doesn't comply with the rules, but I don't have any new ideas at the right stage.

Tempted. I've got a seven parter that's been kicking around on the backburner for the best part of two years and if I can drag each part out to 8k I'd be in with a chance. Longest I've written to date is 7,500 and that was rambling enough!

I usually do Nano but I'm in two minds about doing it this year. I have a LOT on- much of it reading and writing based and I don't deal well with failure. Or, you know, at all. On the other hand writing like it will kill me is usually one of the appeals of Nano. Undecided.
