I have spent most of this four-day holiday thus far being extremely lazy. And relishing every second of it.

Work (as I have whined and complained about) has been very taxing, so the break has been incredibly welcome. It has been very good to push all thoughts and worries about responsibilities aside. I have not had this many days off since I went to Germany, and of course there we hit the ground running and zoomed everywhere we could, making the most of each day. This weekend is thus different. I have literally lazed the days away.

So, what have I done the last few days?

Ate out for Thanksgiving, which also gave us leftovers for dinner that night.

Took long naps. Every day.

Did some laundry.

Read several Due South fics by [livejournal.com profile] pir8fancier.

Went to Wal-Mart. I hate Wal-Mart, but they are cheap and have the best candles.

Made Chili. Mmmm.

Played with the dogs, lots.

Cleaned off the dogs, lots.

Took a walk in the rain with Maddox.

Got my hair cut. Too short again. Will not show you. LOL.

Wondered why every haircut person I encounter always likes to cut my hair shorter than I tell them to.

Listened to GRRM's third book, part 7 of 23, and fell asleep during, so had to back it up and listen again. Fell asleep during, again--not because of the story, I swear. Just lazy.

Took an IQ test.

Took Maddox to Petsmart and signed him up for obedience finally.

Wrote lots of emails to friends, one of whom really made me think about life, and where I am today.

Wrote lots at Seaside. Lots and lots.

Watched some television--something I rarely do. This included a survival show, Tears for Sears, an episode of Brothers and Sisters, and Dirty Jobs.

Cleaned the kitchen several times.

Fed the fish, fed the dogs, fed the dogs, fed the dogs fed the dogs...they eat alot.

Listened for hours off and on to my daughter as she told me over and over how much she lovvessss Jesse.

Took my son and daughter to dinner...and Brandon and Courtney. I have four kids these days.

Swept off the back porch.

Swept off the back porch AGAIN.

Lay around on my tummy on my bed and listened to soundtracks.

Downloaded Pan's Labyrinth soundtrack, sent it to KL.

Put out trash.

Read LJ.

Read IJ, wrote more on Seaside.

Thought about going to bookstore, didn't. Thought about going to movie, didn't.

Made a fire in the fireplace.

Turned on the heat.

Snarled at my bathroom--yup, daughter is home.

Smiled alot, cuz I am happy, though I could be happier. Hope to be, someday.

Wrote this stupid list for some reason.

I think I'll go write more in Seaside now. LOL. And tomorrow, I plan to be truly productive. I mean it. For REAL!!!! I will!!!

But I wanna see :(

And no, don't be productive. It's a day off, learn to relax (something I should be doing myself). I envy your laziness, I wish I could inject some into my life right now, however, my life is calling for the complete opposite -.-*

XOXOXO

Learn to relax--exactly! I don't know HOW to anymore, so this last few days have been truly great in that regard. Usually I am up and saying gotta do this gotta do that... But I really snoozed it up this holiday, lol so much so that I realized I was actually sore from laying around so much. Too funny.

Omigawd! I don't know either, there has to be a class or something, not one day ONE DAY goes by where I'm not doing something...even on days off...even on paid vacations....I'm doing SOMETHING!

That's why I say, abuse your laziness. I envy.

I am exhausted just reading about what you did!

I miss chatting ... we'll catch up one of these days. Progress on "Ambergrin" continues, although not as swiftly as I'd hoped.

Yes. It is my favorite kind of fantasy. I am settling around the Baltic Sea, Hanseatic League era. Lots of cool reading to do. :)
