So, last night, I discovered my butcher lady is German. With a name like Inge...Shelton, who wouldathunk? LOL. She wants me to bring Nick by for a chat when he comes to visit. Smile. She also invited me to a meeting of the FW German-American club. I might do that, though I really do not want to see my old German teacher there, if she is there. She got oddly clingy there for awhile and I was rather...meh about that. Sweet lady, and lonely, but I could not be the friend she wanted. Sigh. Somehow, I think she would not have been so enthusiastic about me had she known the (wicked lol) truth. Ah well... Life rocks on.

I spent much time at work today being very bad, and working on my fic. Shhhh... I may just do that again tomorrow. Why I feel the urge to write when I should be doing that which I am paid for, I don't know. It is a regular problem with me for some reason.

And then I get home, and have to deal with RL stuff. Like pissy MIL's who thought I meant breakfast THIS Sunday, because she misread my email in which I said NEXT Sunday, as daughter was NOT home this weekend but will be next weekend...I got a really unbelievable email lecture in which she proceeded to tell me that she was very disappointed we forgot her, and then she went on to say she knew that her son would have forgiven his brother and sister and that I should to... Well. I disagree. He would NOT have. He was adamant about not letting the kids around him, and just because he is gone now, and she is all peachy keen with the whole situation (wonder if she will change her will in which she gave them each a dollar?) does not mean I will throw over his wishes. Kel and I disagreed about lots of things regarding this kids, but that was NOT one of them.

Besides, the kids know their Aunt is a total whacko. They love their Uncle and his wife (who not long ago my MIL couldn't stand!) though--but he is just as guilty as we are of being too busy to have time to spend with the kids. And my kids are TEENAGERS--HELLO! They have very busy lives, and one is in college....AHHHH!!!!! She drives me INSANE! ARGH! I do not appreciate being lectured on how my kids should behave. If they do not want to accept their whacko psycho aunt who has major known problems then I do not believe they should have to. Hell no.

Growl.

So, for awhile that ruined my evening, but then I got a nice invite to some puppy fun on Saturday afternoon with Maddox, and I am going. Look at me, being sociable. Ha ha. I love being sociable--just rather it be with N at my side. Sigh.

Anyway. It is at The Colony (aka Rich Area near Dallas) and is something called the 2nd Annual Bow Wow Event. May see if my friend Judy would like to go--gotta talk to N first though, and see what he is doing this weekend. Smile. The reason I want to go is that they are doing microchipping for only 15 bucks and I want Maddox microchipped NOW. Not when he is fixed, which will be in another two months. What if he got loose? Huh? HUH?

I am truly going to the dogs, aren't I...

Son and I did not get to work on the house this evening. Rained all morning, afternoon and some in the evening and it was too muddy to work on the backyard. Tomorrow...

And now I am going to bed. To do more of that reading thing. Nope, STILL not done with Kushiel's Justice.

Oh, and this is why Maddox did to my wrist braces I think it was Sunday, or was it Saturday? And of course these things aren't cheap, and those of us with carpal tunnel KNOW how important they are. Grrrr!!!

We're smarter about our tennis shoes (high up on the kitchen table):

"But MOM, I'm so CUTE!!! You can't be mad!!!"

*groan*

And last, my daughter her boyfriend, Jesse. Now--why why why did she get one NOW???? Sigh. I really like him, I do. Really. Sigh.

But NOT NOW!!!!

Oh well. As I said, life rocks on.
