Okay!
After much pacing, I finally heard from Nick...this morning. That was one wild and crazy wedding! LOL. In any case, just talked to N again *beams* and now it seems Lufthansa has settled up their problems, but flights are still a mess.
The final plan--we hope.... train from the Parents to Frankfurt (the flight from Hamburg to Frankfurt having been canceled) and then, much to N's delight, he'll get to play with
catsintheattic and
liriaen overnight. That is awesome! Though it does delay starting the internship needless to say...because Nick will now have to fly from Frankfurt to Washington D.C., then to DFW arriving late Tuesday night.
I am not entirely happy about the customs being done in D.C., not that I expect any problems or anything, but... On the up side, he'll now fly domestic from DC to here, which will simplify everything on this end. Won't get in until 7:30 on Tuesday night, which is also easier for me. Woo!
Now Nick should be able to see the Pentagon from the air, and maybe the White House. LOL. It's been awhile since I've flown to DC and doubt I'll ever have a reason to go again (though I do like it--I long to visit the Smithsonians in depth), but the first time I flew there was for a mystery con, one month after 9-11. It was pretty chilling, standing there looking at the gaping hole in the Pentagon where the plane had been removed. Man is so damn evil.
So, my own plans have adjusted a bit--cleaning out my closet this morning, to make room for Nick's things as well as Tiff's--the last of Kel's clothes is in there. I'm going to pull them out and give them to the kids if they want them. I don't anymore. Except for a few pictures, there's not much of Kel left in my house, other than his kids.
Another hot as hell day. Maybe by Tuesday things will cool off? Supposed to be 108 tomorrow...yikes!
Tomorrow son and I go school clothes shopping. His high school's gone uniform, crazily enough--he can have the following color (non-gang, supposedly) shirts: white, navy blue, green, yellow, maroon, gray.
Fired my doctor. The lack of returned phone calls, not only to me but to my pharmacist, inability to get a prescription filled despite both my and my pharmacist's attempts, the fact that my MIL got very upset by her as well as Tiff being upset by her--hello, goodbye. She got her own practice, and it went to hell...
The Doctor and the Master are swimming happily in their tank. Yes, those are my angel fish. They are gorgeous. Also have Jack--the albino pleco. A bottom feeder... And A red-tailed shark. Think he needs a new name.
My daughter has decided the break-up was a good thing. She and Jesse have been friends a long time, and seemed to have been able to revert back to that friendship. She is moving forward now and is very positive about the future at TCU. VERY excited. I'll have two going to TCU! Nick and Tiff! LOL.
Going to run to Wal-Mart soon. Isn't that exciting? LOL.
Pretty much am ready for Nick's arrival. I really wish I was ten lbs. lighter... LOL!!! But my fault--between the shoulder injury and then the horrid weeks at work, I really fell off the wagon. Am back on it now, thank heavens.
Am rambling. Delaying closet cleanout, apparently.
Bye!
EDIT: Okay, got a wild hair--Nick and I have been watching So You Think You Can Dance...the final is taking place while Nick is here, YAY! And...cuz one of the boys is from here, I guess that is why, we're going to get to see them! WOO!!!!!! My daughter and her friends Brandon and Courtney are going too, but we're in a different section. LOL.
