1. Wash all laundry -- check
2. Pull out all clothes not wearing -- check
3. Fold and hang all laundry -- check
4. Parcel out WU (formerly YCSBF) into chapters for attacking/rewrite -- 42 chapters (oy) at approximately 255,560 words. Goal for that -- cut 1/3rd out of the fic, rewrite the whole shebang, toughen up the guys, and make it worthy of sending in to editor. -- semi-check (got the parceling out into workable chunks done at least)
5. Apply for new Seaside character -- check
6. Convince self that waiting 2.5 months for approval for Seaside character is no big deal -- sorta check (it is ridiculous, in my opinion, but...there you go)
7. Watch as many Doctor Who episodes as possible -- check (am at last on Season 4, episode 4)
Didn't actually get much done this weekend--not as much as I'd hoped. Am really tired, not sleeping well, pretty damn achy all over. Husky boy Maddox is not sleeping well either, which disturbs my sleep. Sigh. He turned One yesterday--in six weeks he'll have been with us a year. Pretty cool. My shoulder is still fairly painful, but the searing pain in my left lower arm is gone. The numbness in the two fingers on my left hand remain, though I am dealing with it. No choice, really.
The last month has been pretty damn miserable, physically-wise.
Treadmill arrives tomorrow--yay--daughter will be here to accept delivery.
Got a mini-mission to accomplish in the morning which necessitates calling into work with a bogus reason for being late--such is life though, this mini-mission is important. The wheels continue to turn positively for N's coming back to the US. I dare not let my hopes rise too high though, and that is very difficult. The being apart lately has been shredding me. Sigh. Am lonely in ways that I used to not be--not sure what it is, but my life is just feeling quite solitary lately.
Co-worker who was hired to help me, Jude, who proved not so helpful but I did in the end rather like her personally, has quit. She met a man on Match.com, and they are getting married. Boom, just like that. Co-worker admin girl is convinced the man is out to swipe all of Jude's money. Hmm.
I found someone to do my fence. Nevermind that it will cost me almost 6 grand to get it done--it will be in cedar, and I will never have to do that again. My huskies will be safe at last and that is worth it to me.
I am on Season Five of X-Files, am almost caught up with the Doctor Whos, am watching Criminal Minds...and also have Life on Mars to watch. I am watching more television than I have in years--not sure this is a good thing, but it sure is fun.
This is a silly post, but--aren't all mine?
Nite all, time to drag the huskies in and go to sleep. I hope, anyway--sleep being uncooperative lately.
