I've been wanting one of these forever, and finally got one. Not just for me and the kids, but for my Siberian Huskies as well. Here's a video of Maddox's second try on the treadmill--he really doesn't fall off, just comes close before scampering back up again. He is concentrating so hard! Eventually he will be able to run on it. I have a Husky friend who is helping me teach him. The great thing is--he liked it, was not afraid, and enjoyed the first couple of times.

Enjoy! (and do not laugh at my accent, you hear me?)

I don't know how Phoebe would take to a treadmill if she were just now being introduced to it; she'd probably be a little disconcerted. We already had one, though, when we got her, so we plunked the poor pup on it (sans leash, because she wouldn't walk ANYWHERE with a leash on) and hit the "start" button. Whee- she was great at it! (Well, minus a few "fly off the back" episodes, but that didn't deter her.) At first I walked alongside her, but then she got good at doing it alone.

And hey- nothing wrong with a little accent; it makes everything sound nicer as far as I'm concerned.

Where'd the first part of my message go? The part where I applauded Maddox for his adventurous spirit and nimble grace? I know I typed it...

Good for him for not being intimidated by a big, moving piece of machinery with unfamiliar tread and all! Dogs that take that kind of thing in stride are just fantastic.

Oh good for Phoebe! We're going to work on it again tonight. LOL on the flyback--this morning we worked on how to get off, but not for long as it was my turn. It felt SO GOOD to be able to treadmill at home, with icky hair, no bra, tacky shorts and with the Sibes' noses touching my legs because they were trying to figure out what I was doing.

I don't know! It got eaten! He is a little wary of it, but seems game to try. I'll be getting Shelby on there tonight too--haven't tried her yet. Should be interesting!
