My echnos twitter is still up, but if those who are following it want to nuke it, go ahead. I won't be updating it anymore.

Decided that I needed a representative twitter...so, had hoped to use carolyngray, but it was taken.  So, carolyn_gray it is.

Today at lunch, got through 9 more pages of rewrite.  I am shredding words left and right--so much fun!  So FRIGHTENING!  209 pages down, 404 to go!  LOL.  Pages. 404 pages. Ouch.  But, it is going well, still no sign of a revision letter either. Yet. Good. WHEW!!!

I want to get this done so I can get back to ballet boy fic, argh...but it will be all the better.  There is much to learn from rewriting, that's for sure.  Oh I groan, I groan, at how I wrote this damn thing...aaahhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  LOL.

[livejournal.com profile] lgbtfest is preying on me...BUT!  I have it figured out, and, there WILL BE FLASHBACK COMMITTED!!!!

Heh.

To work, kids, to work.  FOLLOW ME!

How far did you whittle the 209 pages down?

Surprisingly, or maybe not, I am taking ALOT of crap out. And toughening up the characters quite a bit. LOL. It is alot of fun, really is. About to dive more into it here in a few seconds.

I'm really wondering how that works when you don't have the revision notes yet?

Oh, well, this fic was written so long ago, that with time passing, I can just SEE how much needs to be improved, taken out, strengthened...I let my editor know I was doing this and she was all for it. I am not changing the storyline, just making it stronger, the characters stronger, taking out the overkill--there is lots of that.

When the revision letter comes, then I will have a much cleaner manuscript. My editor gives me alot of leeway, honestly--my mystery one though? She was KILLER...she went through EVERY SINGLE LINE and I had to justify it ALL. She was awesome! My current one is not quite the vicious. LOL!!!

Just the thought of an editor imposed re-write makes me cringe. I think that's one reason I pick my own writing apart and have re-written the same scene a dozen times. I'd rather take longer and beat the extra words off the page before I send it off.

LOL but they will still find things to change, trust me...all editors do love to edit after all!!!

Heh heh.
