Profile Fun..

So, I decided to fill out my info page for the first time. I opened up this particular lj in June of 2006, so I figured why not go ahead and take care of it now. LOL.

Am off to the store to get a drying rack like Nick's, for clothes. Will stick in the bathtub cuz its not used much so it won't be in the way.

Will work on next travel post this afternoon. I'm still on German-time, got up at 4:00 a.m., so we'll see how peppy I am then...might need a short nap to help out. LOL!!!

I am concerned about my addiction to twitter. May have to put it on my mobile since I can't really in good conscience twitter at work...ahh! I do not want to think about Monday. *erases from mind*

Lotsa thinky thoughts on writing mystery going on in my brain. I have an idea that slammed me while on the plane, and I am going for it. SO THERE! First person, FEMALE POV. YUP! TRUE THAT! Ha! May share more later on that, in a closed post though of course. Set in Wales, yup. It is time...

I am also going to make dog biscuits for my dogs. I know, I am weird, but this recipe looks really good. Need to get a cookie cutter shaped like a bone or something. Maybe like a cat?

Ari’s Oat Biscuits
1 cup flour (I use whole grain spelt or brown rice flour)
1 cup oatmeal
½ cup wheat germ
½ cup peanut butter
2 tablespoons molasses
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Pinch of salt
Dash of honey

Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add molasses, butter, 2 tablespoons oil, and ¾ cup water. Stir well, then turn out on a well-floured surface. Knead for 2-3 minutes, then roll into a thick round. Cut biscuits and layer on baking stone. Mix remaining 1 tablespoon oil with dash of honey. Brush on biscuits. Cook at 350° F for approximately 30 minutes. Let cool and harden before storing.

Tasty, yes? I can eat them too! LOL.

Oh and speaking of eating--am supremely chuffed to report I gained less than 2 lbs. on the trip. Shouldn't take but a few days to knock that 1.8 off. I am THRILLED with this fact...proves in spades that what I did worked as well as I was told it would. Hell yeah! GO ME!!!

My only concern though is that as a smaller person, Nick now can wrestle me into submission. Still not sure how I feel about that. *makes notes to incorporate strength-training into new health plan* LOL.

Do you mind if I ask you how you lost the weight?

Not at all! Email though--cparagraphs at googlemail. Drop me a line and I will tell you what I did. :)

Nick now can wrestle me into submission.

And this will make it into a fanfic somehow? y/y?

I second [livejournal.com profile] spiderine's query. If you don't mind.

LOL no I don't mind but how about in email? :) It takes a bit to explain it. LOL. It is hard core though--super hard core--but, it works.

First person, FEMALE POV. YUP! TRUE THAT!

GO GIRL.

[identity profile] paragraphs.livejournal.com 2009-07-18 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL. Been a long, long time, but for some reason, I want to express this through a female's voice--been quite awhile since I've had a female POV character and this will be in first, so... hells yes!

My friend makes his own dog food. I can get you the recipe if you want to go whole hog (so to speak--I don't know that hog is involved).

[identity profile] paragraphs.livejournal.com 2009-07-18 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
kibble, or raw? Cuz I do raw for them--it is just expensive. I can see me making the dried kibble for them--lol!!

Um... I don't know about dog biscuits, they look rather good for humans too. :)

I might try making these.

[identity profile] paragraphs.livejournal.com 2009-07-18 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL! they are pretty bland--about to taste-test them with the dogs, see what they think.

I actually like bland. :) I happily eat porridge every morning for breakfast, except when the weather gets too hot in the summer.

[identity profile] paragraphs.livejournal.com 2009-07-19 10:49 am (UTC)(link)
We bought Nick some porridge! I just reminded him about it. LOL. The pups loved them but I cooked them slightly too long--will cut it down to 25 minutes next time.

I have bone biscuit cutters. :) Looks like a good recipe! Hey, I picked up a bag of coconut m&m's today -- I have hidden them. Let me know if you need them and I shall send in colder weather. Not to discourage the weight-loss regimen, but every now and then you need a treat.

[identity profile] paragraphs.livejournal.com 2009-07-19 10:47 am (UTC)(link)
I kinda over cooked these a bit--not that the dogs mind--but I want to get bone shaped cookie cutters! Need a rolling pin too, lol. I used to have one ages ago...guess I never make pies!

Sure you can Twitter at work. It's not like 140 characters takes that long to tyep or anything. And your mood will be improved by all the interaction or whatever. :D

[identity profile] paragraphs.livejournal.com 2009-07-19 10:36 am (UTC)(link)
LOL no, I can just see me twittering when my boss comes by my cube...uh...but there is googlechat! thank heavens.
