Stop what?

Cleaning.

I have gone nuts.

I have six months, less than! before Nicholas gets here and there is so much to do. I finally got rid of Dumpster #1 yesterday--LATE. And someone had thrown tires and gross food stuff in it and yeah, it was gross.

Even though it was gross, my crazy neighbor next door went dumpster diving and brought out a bunch of stuff he wanted. I told him to go for it. Ewww. LOL.

Today, I cleaned my room. I am still needing to organize the dresser drawers, but I got my window cleaned out (the messy one in that picture of Maddox) and cleaned my bookshelf. I have removed two huge boxes worth books that I will donate.

I even cleaned the side of my bed.

I can't stop, oh no--I also cleaned the kitchen, removing a ton of stuff. The end result? I have six bags of trash to go in dumpster #2 already.

Yes, that many.

I am a certifiable slob. I have to stop this, this pack-ratting habit. Once and for all, I am getting everything organized and streamlined.

I need to start my Holiday Fic--HD wise. I am doing lots of writing, but it is over at Insane Journal.

Puppy just ran past with a brush. Great. BRB.

Okay back.

He must be teething. He's chewing everything in sight.

Anyway. I am having marvelous fun over there, very relaxed and free and enjoyable. Nick is there also of course, and [livejournal.com profile] liriaen is also. It is the kind of writing free-for-all that I really take a cotton to.

And in the writing front, i.e. Jax, as ever, I think about it more than I do it. I clean house and think about it. I take Maddox for long walks (two miles tonight--even after all that cleaning, yes I am insane but he needs it, and I need it) and think about it. I write other stuff and think about it. I go to bookstores, browse the fantasies, both the young adult sections and the adult section, and think about it.

Think about thinking about it even.

I really hate myself about this, but...shrug...

All right enough whining. Back to real life. Tomorrow Nick starts his internship. I am very very excited for him also because he passed the stats mega-test with flying colors. I am sooo proud of him! I just wish I could've been there to hug him, but you all know that. Sigh.

He also finished his monster fic today--I will be giving a shout-out when it is posted in different places.

What else?

I'm losing weight again but dammit, in my legs. All this puppy stuff I guess. I don't NEED to lose any more there--yikes! LOL

Work has been a little better since Chris finally got the people at Staubach to STOP TELLING PEOPLE THAT I WILL ANSWER ALL THEIR QUESTIONS!!!! Egads. I am making headway, which is a good thing since we can't seem to find anyone to hire.

I saved a Siberian Husky stray's life this week. She is now with her new owner, the vet tech at the vet's who will actually be the one who plays with Maddox when he is there for doggy day care. Yes, he is going, starting Tuesday, every day for their daycare program. Why? BECAUSE HE IS A HUSKY!!!! When people said that Siberian Huskies were high energy, they weren't kidding. It is just not fair to him at this young age to be cooped up between 7:00 and 4:30. For $4.50 a day, yes, true, I am sending him to daycare where he will have outside play, a run to mess around in, his toys, and plenty of company with the other regulars.

Guess that is all, except since The Talk, it has been sooo much easier around here to be myself. Having the kids' acceptance is just...heaven.

I will confess I have not been reading my flist. I haven't made the time, I admit it. I am sorry.

Back to work. Got a few more things to do, then a nice hot bath, then my book that I am reading. Tomorrow will be a very quiet day for me, as Nick will be at work (oh wow) and I have off of course.

Thirty minutes is nothing. I drive longer than that every day :).

How about WHEN you go on a date? I swear, someday someone is gonna realize how awesome you are (besides me--tee hee).

Yeah, with your crazy schedule, there is no wonder when you are home, you just want to relax. I understand completely, and days and weeks go by when I just don't understand why I don't do more. But it is hard, very hard, to work fulltime and deal with everything you have to and want to and need to.

I have so much more to do, I swear I will never get it done. But little goals met make it easier. And, I find I like my house better when I spend more time on it. I really do want it nice as can be for when Nick is here.

I did a little more rearranging of the living room while I was watching the unaired pilot for Heroes ... it's on the season one dvd set. Unpacked a few more boxes, and have done some laundry. So I feel at least a little better about wasting the day.

My friends have far more faith in my love life than I do. I appreciate all the good thoughts and energy you're all sending.

LOL we know who is awesome, he just has to believe it. :)

See, you did accomplish something, so that is great.

But wait, whadyamean, unaired pilot? WHAT??? I miss Heroes, but it won't be the same this year as last season, all the kids piled onto our couches every week to watch.

Sigh...

Tiff's missing the good ol' days and so do I.

Yeah, in addition to deleted scenes and such, the entire original unaired pilot is on disc one. Much of it is the same, but there's a whole terrorist subplot that introduces a very different radioactive man, and it brings Parkman in in a different way, among other small touches.
