Okay so I found a few more pictures of our trip through the Brecon Beacons. I knew that I had taken a picture of the sign that pointed to the lovely waterfall we stopped to see, and I was right. Argh! My apologies, but here's more!
I remember clearly this area of the Brecons--very twisty-turny (such a workout, driving in Wales). We ran across a parking lot with lots of cars and decided to stop and explore. All those cars must mean something cool was up ahead, right? You betcha!

And another sign! WATERFALL! WE MUST SEE IT!!

.
First a recap of that particular waterfall picture from the previous post:

Lovely waterfall. There's a few more of those! It was fun to get to--we parked the car, walked along a path (so chilly and damp) and went over one of those fence step-over things I once knew the name of. You know, bench through a fence so you can step over without snagging your drawers.
So lovely, the perfect place for a murder I thought... LOL. Even the trees are mysterious. (A little out of focus, but I do love the trees).

Anyway, down the tree-rooty path and there it was, a roaring stream and waterfall.

I absolutely LOVE this one:

I am not sure why I kept thinking murder scene! Secluded, dark, cool, far from civilization etc. Perfect. Oh check this out! Our map! This is what Nick drew on to keep track of all the places we'd been, and where we were to go. The map usually worked, too! Usually.

After we left there, it was getting late so we headed for home. We ran across this little lake reservoir and decided to stop. (I actually used this reservoir as the location for the final scene of my
reel_torchwood. We parked the car near this sign, which we kind of ignored:

The reservoir itself was pretty. Easy to imagine hundreds of evil seagulls swooping in. There were plenty there anyway.

Onward then! I took a few more pictures along the way, like this one--that is water pouring down that hill. Really lovely. So glad I found these!

And a few last pics.
