Hey guys, it is me, still alive and kicking.

This is me! Me me me! Nick found a fascinating LJ group that I just spent about an hour wallowing happily through. [livejournal.com profile] deutsche_kultur. And I found a description of me in it. How about that!

http://community.livejournal.com/deutsche_kultur/568.html

Tee hee, yup. I am one of those, definitely.

Last night, it took the puppy to the dog park for the first time. He had so much fun! I met a couple I met on Husky-4-Life, a list I am on (yeah yeah, I'm on two, but I only lurk on the second one.)

This is their blog, where they have some great pictures and video clips of Maddox playing with their dogs, Steve and Kat.

http://stevekatwilbur.blogspot.com/

These days, Maddox loves to spend time outside. That is weird for me, as my Springers hate being outside for long. They always want to be Right Under My Feet.

I am such a dog person these days. Sigh. I am even realizing that probably sooner than later, I'll be getting another Husky to be a companion to Maddox. The Springers are just too lazy for him as he gets more energetic and bigger. The way he played with Steve and Kat--there's no WAY Claire can handle that kind of play. Sigh. It'll have to be Just the Right One though--I want a red and white or solid white already house trained, submissive because Claire is top dog, and around a year or so old. No bad habits, etc. Not picky, am I. (Yes, I am!) I don't intend to have four dogs though--not until Claire is the only Springer in the house.

What else? I am working at the railroad across the street from my office, and there is no internet over there. That is somewhat okay--I have email, but Friday it was horribly laggy. Hmm. It better be better tomorrow.

Nick is working lots and very hard at his internship. Five more weeks to go! Oh and we also are going to see the Mavericks! Yes yes, a pro basketball game. Neither of us have ever seen one (needless to say) but we bought the tickets for March 10, the NY Nicks vs. the Mavericks.

I suppose that is all, for now. Upload this and then play around with writing stuff for a wee bit. Yawn...so damn lazy today, seriously! Unreal, useless, totally useless. LOL.

My friend had Huskies for a number of years and from what she told me, Huskies NEED to be outside, they need lots of open space to run through and chase things and they LOVE to be out in the cold. One of the pictures she had framed of her dogs was of them actually sleeping outside in the snow and they got snowed on, and it didn't seem to be bothering them.

Poor Texas Huskies, huh. Maddox may never see real snow. And oh yes, he ran and ran and RAN at the dog park--for miles I am sure! It was great fun.

They love to be brrr chilly, yup--am just going to have to get used to him wanting to be outside so much. It is odd. LOL. At least compared to Springers.

Having been dogsledding before, I can attest to the fact they LOVE to run LOL Yep, for miles and miles!

Huskies are just really an outdoor dog, which makes sense if you think about who they resemble and what they were bred for ^_^

Hi!!!!!

Just wanted to say that. Not much else.

I am working my way through "Red" and loving it, btw.

Maddox is such a character. You're right, he needs companionship that will keep up with him. But four dogs would be insane. I'm not sure how you manage three!

My sister just found out from someone not long ago that lhasa apsos are among the most un-trainable dogs out there. My brother-in-law loves them because they don't drive him allergies crazy. But there's a reason these dogs don't go to the bathroom when and where they're supposed to even after 10 years.

I will give you a prize for saying that--I know Red is a bit goofy at times, but I had fun. LOL. Loads of fun.

Of course four dogs would be insane. I am nuts! Smile.

Oh man...Maddox is a smart boy, he sits on command for instance, always, but if he doesn't want to follow you, he just says Okay, I'm going in the kitchen for a drink first. Very much like a cat!

My cat was the best dog I ever had ... so it makes sense someone would have a dog that makes a darn good cat!

Oh I agree! My cat was also a great doggie! He was amazing, Tobey--I miss him still.

It cracks me up the way Maddox uses his paws like a cat, and stretches like a cat, and sidles up to Claire to get her to play, just like a tough little kitty. They are wrestling at my feet, currently.

This room is just not big enough!

Going well enough. I am tired tonight--too much caffeine. UGH.

NOT today--water all day and I am about to fall over. LOL.
