SAY HELLO TO ME!!!!!!

I absolutely ADORE my new camera phone!!

And in other news...thanks to Jim Butcher, and my FW peeps, and sitting here all afternoon at work and not working and just THINKING, I have my plot, I have my setting, I have my main characters, I have my conflict, I have STORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Life is good.

Except for missing [livejournal.com profile] cruentum, lost in the wilds of Germany somewhere.

I finally get to put a face to the name!

You are so lucky to know Jim Butcher! I love his Dresden Files series!

Bwa ha ha I met him and talked intensely with him and his wife years and years ago, but I doubt he'd remember me. Still, what he said, his enthusiasm for writing and the belief that others can conquer it too, has stayed with me. And now i am actually utilizing it. He has a livejournal here where several years ago he laid out how he writes and I have pulled those off (along with a friend of mine) and we're going to give his method a go.

Can you give me a link to his journal? I'd like to check out his method. I've thought about writing a novel a lot lately, but I haven't started yet because I'm afraid I won't be able to make it long enough or finish it. I have so many ideas crawling around in my head and I'm just itching to start writing, though!

Sure, I wish he would update with more stuff, but he hasn't touched it in ages. There is a lot of info there, but it is solid stuff. http://jimbutcher.livejournal.com/

Whoa, he has a lot of good advice on there! I had to bookmark it to come back to when the kids are in school so I can actually absorb it without interruption. I'm going to use his advice for NaNoWriMo (I vow I'll finish this year!).

This author is also very good--much of her advice applies to screenwriting but she is also a novelist. I love her books, am on a mystery list she is also a member of (well, I am sorta as I don't participate there anymore). She writes scary stuff. She has amazing advice and lots of it mirrors Butcher's.

What author? I feel like there should be a link in your comment somewhere, but you must've forgotten to add it. :P

Also, I'll check you out on NaNoWriMo. I don't remember my username on the site and might had to sign up again if they've done any renovating. I'll let you know once I figure it out.
