Brushed off my own treadmill today, figuring I can go to the YMCA for the machines and do the treadmilling part at home. I really love my treadmill, it is a big and sturdy one with an extra-long running bed, and it felt great getting it all set up again. Oh looky, a picture! (yeah I know, dorky me)

Connected Harris Amelia (my netbook) to my extra monitor, and speakers, and watched an episode of Fringe. Damn I love this show, love the characters, the whole scenario, the worldbuilding...yeah, good stuff. A smart, complicated yet simple show. So this is how I did.

Started out at 3.2 for awhile to warm up--my knee is still stiff and sore at times, some days better than others. I do some stretches several times a day (whenever I think about it) and that has helped. After awhile sped up to 3.8, added some incline, and just stayed there for awhile...started to feel really good! My knee wasn't hurting at all--for some reason, and incline of 1 is more comfortable than treadmilling flat.

I jumped off a second to turn the fan on, popped back on and tried to just watch the show, ignore the stats, then decided what the hell, let's give running a go...

And I RAN!!! I made it for a whopping half a mile but that is huge progress!

All in all I did this:

Mileage: 2.6 (from start to end of show)
Miles ran: .5 :)
Incline: 1.0
Fastest speed: 4.0
Average speed: 3.8
Time: 44 minutes
Calories burned: 202

The dogs watched, wondering why I don't take them walking (because I hate where I live? and they are crazy to walk alone? yeah). Maddox walks in and out of the kitchen when I'm on that thing--I should try again to teach him how to run on it like this smart puppygirl:

Too bad I don't have a trampoline anymore:

Then I went to Taco Bueno and got two tacos for me and Mexi Dips & Chips and tacos for the son. I much prefer Taco Bell's tacos. Just saying.

Also achieved today: finally have my wordpress blog set up like I like it for my 'pro' blog for Carolyn Rogers. I call it The (Un)organized Writer. Snort. We'll see if it gets any traffic or not. I'm not convinced, but doing it anyway. LOL.

I totally forgot to go to the resource center today to do a class I wanted to do. This proves to me that I have to get outside the house tomorrow. Thankfully it is #writersdatenight at McAllister's.

Still no word from Loose-Id. AAHHH!!!!!

Anyone know a title examiner? What they do is oddly similar to some of what I did for the railroad (real estate research, reading maps, legal descriptions, property history). I think if I could find a place willing to train what I know into it, I could get into doing that.

Awesome! You rock!

Taco Bell sauce is delicious. I love it. When I make nachos for V and myself, I always use Taco Bell sauce on them.

Yeah, give me The Bell any day. But they don't have Mexi Dips & Chips! :)

Of course homemade tacos are the best. Mander sent me a great recipe for Chili Rellenos I think I am going to try. Friday probably. mmmmm.

We tried to make chili rellenos once and it was a spectacular failure. If yours turn out good, I'll want to pick your brain!

I'm such a Sam Starbuck geek: when I saw that picture of Hugh Laurie and the TARDIS, I immediately thought of Sam's Doctor Who in America series. Scroll down a ways to see what I mean.

Also, there's not much that's cuter than foxes onna trampoline.

TACO BELL! No self-respecting Texan would ever admit to eating there! ::Giggle::

Congrats on the running. You have now run farther than I have since I retired from the Army. Course, nobody has taken a shot at me since then. Why run when you can walk...or walk when you can sit, right?

BTW: Do you like surprises?

OMG KEVIN ARE YOU HINTING SOMETHING?

Uh, what kind of surprise?

You know where my mind went.

Tell me if it belongs there or not?????

I am going to hit the treadmill every day that I can. Knee still feels great several hours later, so I think I am okay.

You'd better text me...

Aren't they wonderful? On my husky list I used to be on, there was someone with a pet fox. It was not intentional, she saved it when it was a little kit, but I used to love the vids she made of him. And then of course there is The Daily Coyote...coolest ever. :)

I am trying Blue! I really really really want this 10 to go away. ARGH.
