So it is settled, we leave on the 11th for Florida, and I will fly back home on the 14th. A friend of old from days gone by, who used to live here but now lives there, has happily agreed to let me and the daughter bunk at her place, and Tiff to stay there until she can move in to her apartment. Talk about wonderful! (plus they are only 15 minutes from where Tiff will be, and they have a pool, and Karen loves Tiff and I know that she will gladly be there for anything Tiff may need as that is how she rolls). Friends are awesome!
So that is settled but wow, MY HOUSE. It is so full of boxes and crap I wonder how in the world did my child accumulate so much junk? Granted, she is also preparing for a garage sale on Saturday. We're getting rid of as much as we can which will all go into the Computer Fund so we can get her computer out of the Apple Store Jail where it is residing after getting fried by lightening at her little place. Sigh. Anyway! I have come up with an acronym for all things having to do with plans for when I get back from Florida, ATGTF. After Tiff Goes To Florida. Am happy for her, and am going to miss her terribly as will her brother but he and I are VERY VERY excited about ATGTF because we are going to clean the hell out of the house!
The happy for me is this will clear out my dining room which is going to be turned into a relaxing place for me to write, with a new chair and ottoman or chaise lounge to curl up with my laptop, and a new aquarium! My very own, yay! I can't wait! Son is such a tank expert now he can't wait to build a new one.
Then, the breakfast area will be turned into the exercise area.
And you might be thinking 'but where will your table and chairs be?' Nowhere. LOL!! I do not entertain and if I ever need a table, well I will just get some folding number and have it in the garage. Works for me. :)
Other things! Working on first revisions for IMBM, and the contract is on its way. YAY! And then finally finally FINALLY I am working on my thriller, Drake's Island. YES YES YES! Got the idea last year when I was visiting Nick and we had fun brainstorming some things while in a boat headed across the bay to Cawsand, which was also inspiring (to say the least). Woo!

Drake's Island looks like somewhere I want to go... and it also looks like it might be a bit haunted... or something. Curious!
I am curious... have you ever had a muse? How do you access that muse-like energy within?
I never realized the true power of a muse until I finished writing that piece last night... it was a big light bulb moment for me to realize that it's been inside of me this whole time... and I can use external forces to access different parts of my own muse energy.
Hmm... deep in thought this morning... and tonight's writing group is gonna be FUN!
