This is what fun I had this weekend:

And the bumper...

Yes, I got smashed into by an unlicensed, uninsured probably illegal motorist. Sad, isn't it? I was fine--it happened in a parking lot, thankfully, and thankfully no one was hurt even though she went to the hospital to make sure her back was okay. I still haven't figured out how she hit me twice but then she careened off and hit a parked car. The police found her at fault, not me--and sadly, she likely is in some serious trouble for all of the above. I wasn't even shaking--she was in hysterics, crying that she had no license, no license no license... And she had a young boy with her.
Sigh.
Anyway. I've been busy with the kids. VERY busy--good grief, I went from one child to about six? Eating here, doing laundry, movies, hanging out-- Of course I love it.
Shelby and I are bonding. She just turned around about ten times at the foot of my bed before curling up. I keep telling her and Maddox that they'd best enjoy this as shortly before Nick comes, they'll be sleeping in their crates at night.
Nick counted it up, realized tonight that we have 9 weeks before we see each other again. NINE WEEKS! This will be our third time together, his first here. And he's here for six weeks. We're going to be quite crazily busy with two trips, a Mavericks basketball game, and whatever else we come up with. We'll be going to San Francisco, and to Orlando. Crazy, huh. And ten days of the time here, my kids will both be in Europe. $$$$$ ahhh!!! April I shall be broke.
Nick and I have talked alot about what it will be like, together so much, living a relatively normal existence. I still have to work, after all, and my son will be here. I have tons of things to do between now and then. I'm a bit nervous about how the kids will do with Nick here...both know and say they are cool with it but saying it and living it are two different things, you know? Nick's been in my life three years now, so... It'll be interesting, for all of us. I want it go well, for everyone. I want Nick to love it here, want to come back. Badly. Smile.
I'm making a neat and interesting little stack of books to read. Most, interestingly enough, are considered YA books. I'm working on that post for posting tomorrow.
Going to go write now--and visit a few livejournals. Nite all!
