I have no idea why the banner isn't working for me.  BUT ANYWAY.  I committed to 200k for 2015.  Pretty daring considering the last 4 years I haven't even written 100k.  But I am moving along with this story, I have real, firm goals, and know what I want.  And I miss community, I miss people, and I really am looking forward to that.  Oh look, the banner mysteriously decided to start working.

I managed 200K in 2013 and 2014, with a 250K pledge this year - lol. So I finally would like to crack the 250K mark. I know I can do it; I had three lousy months this summer, but then pushed really hard for it in autumn and over NaNo. If I manage to balance work and writing better this year ... *crosses fingers*

I decided that 5k a week is totally doable, and there is no reason why I cant do the 250k. The year stretches before me with ample opportunity to get this book written and then some - not that I plan to have it be that long! But the way I write, you never know. LOL.

Are you still dating your young man? :) And btw, as ten years have now passed since I met Nick, we must be pretty close to that ourselves. LOL!

Congrats to you and Nick! Ten years already? Time really flies. But it must be true. April 2013, I celebrated my tenth anniversary of self-employment, and shortly after that, I found fandom. One of the best things that ever happened to me. So many great people - you among them! - and so much support. :-)

I started to get nervous about 250k. That is two full books! But I am not letting myself talk myself out of it. There is no reason why I can't do this - I have nothing else planned in 2015 after all. I know what my second book will be too - same world, different MC (this one male). Been wanting to write that one for years too. So it is time.

Ten years is a long, long time. I think of all the adventures I have had in the past ten years and it is kind of mind blowing. I actually can blame Nick for all of them, too. :)

I plan to finish the first drafts of two different novels and maybe start the third. And also to make edit the first two novels - or at least one of them. But while I'm researching and editing, I want to keep writing - even if I only write for prompts. I want to approach writing like an athlete - they warm up and train every day, no matter if they play a game or are just doing exercises. So I won't write 250K in novel words, but I will write them. *determined nod*

Ten years is a long time - but if they are filled with adventures and happiness, it's time well spent. :-)

That is a great way to think about it - approach it like an athlete. That is actually what has been in my mind to do. I want this. I want it bad. I will be 53 in May. There is NO reason why I can't have this first draft done by May 31st, if I want this. And I do. I should've and could've achieved much more than I have the past ten years, and I regret that. I really do. I don't want to regret 2015.
