Star Gate and there is no real point to this post

Okay so I am really and truly enjoying this show.  I've tired of dark shows (looking at you Jessica Jones--though you were brilliant, I am just worn out by brutality) so after mainlining Eureka, where I would like to live thank you, I decided to finallly get going on this show that I've heard about for so many years.   Am well into season two now and it is really cool to see the variety of situations they come up with.  A time or two a few things have sparked ideas for my story, which is very unexpected.

Today's writing was a continuance of working on the rest of my plot.  It is weird that I can't quite see the ending yet, but I think I sort of kind of know how it is going to go.  I had to come up with something for the hodderscape synopsis -- it may work, but may not, not sure.  I just sure wish I was done with this first draft.  Even though I'm writing one way or the other almost every day, it is just creeping along so slowly.  How do you people write so fast, you who write fast?  My brain just doesn't work that way, though I am writing faster than I have been.  So I guess that is something?  Was hoping it would be done by end of January - end of February is probably more reasonable.  WIsh I could just take a week off, grab my dog and head out somewhere pretty and beautiful to work on it nonstop.  Ah well.  Gotta work. Sigh.

I saw the first season of Warehouse 13 (and saw they are related when that one character came to visit Eureka?) but not Leverage and not the Librarians. I will add them!

I like Sam too. Her whole deal with her dad.. >SOB SOB SOB.

I'm currently watching Jessica Jones. And even though it's a great show, it's also so very bleak. I don't let myself feel anything for the characters, because I don't want to get hurt when they get hurt.

The thought of someone being able to make another person do anything, anything, and that someone being evil, just scares the bejeebers out of me. I don't blame you.

I'm thrilled you're enjoying SG-1 so much. ♥ It did wonderful, wonderful things for my creativity. The 'gate itself is such an amazing storytelling device. I wish you'd been there for the talk at DCon last year that tied the stargate and 19th century time travel stories to narratives in general. IT. WAS. FASCINATING.

Aww man, yeah that is too bad. I'm on season three episode 3 now. Already. LOL. the theme music plays in my head at work.

I've already decided that even if no one needs a spare for a hotel room, I'm going to go to DragonCon. I just had too much fun. That air bnb I stayed at (30 bucks a night!) was cute and comfy and weird and I can stay there or maybe find one closer - my only concern with it is getting back late. It is about 5 minute walk from the train station. I think I'll have even more fun the next time around, and would likely enjoy some Stargate panels!

I may actually have space for you. We're short two. I was waiting to see if I could find another single to let you know for sure, but we'll probably have a slot for you, and I would love to have you stay with us again, assuming we can find another single in need.

You behaved very well! And I appreciated that you were willing to explore things outside your interest (like the Whedon/Religion panel) and that you wanted to go to so many writing panels! :D I felt like our room fit together very nicely.

Oh the episode I thought so sweet? The one with the mute (except for singing) white people with white paint and the flower things that sank into the ground. I loved that one for some reason!!!

Oh, "One False Step," is the one with the flowers. I love that episode. Daniel is so perfect in it and then when Jack and Daniel are all not apologizing to each other???? ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

... I may have some feelings about Stargate.
