Tonight, I am so glad to be HOME!!! A four (almost) day weekend, which totally rocks, my kids are home and doing well, and Christmas should produce a minimal amount of family drama. I hope. LOL.

I have to work (cough cough) Monday morning, but I am not counting it very much. The boss is off until after the new year, and it should be very quiet next week. So it won't be bad at all.

What to do with myself, I ask? I have an idea...

Do the final pull-together of _______. Including finding a title. I just can't call it ________. That is a pretty hard symbol (ah maybe easier than Prince's) to call a manuscript. So, I need to pull something out of my head to call it.

What is my new story? My old-new story, that is. Historical fantasy, the Hanseatic League *waves to my beloved Germans on the list* the basis for it. Main town--Stralsund, but with its early name, Stralow. I could call the book Hanse for now I suppose. LOL.

My silly Maddox keeps barking (unusual for Sibes) at the reflection of his silly self in the aquarium. Sigh. Such a nerd.

For those on my flist who celebrate Christmas, hope you have a merry one, and happy holiday to all the rest of you. I for one am mostly celebrating some much needed time off!

I do believe Ambergrin Hall, which was a working title, has now perhaps migrated to "real title" status, although I'm leaving room for something better to come along.

You've been researching this one for a while, haven't you? It's exciting that you're working away on something!

Yeah, I have been. But then you gotta remember my title at work is "research analyst" and I absolutely adore research of any type. I get so lost within the halls of Wikipedia! I have a shortcut directly to the site on all my computers! When I am bored at work, I go to Wikipedia! LOL.

STOP ME!!!!

LOL.

Yes, yes, I do need to get to the writing. In fact, I am up early today as Nick's been calling me with his progress toward home (Hamburg is special to us, ya know--aahhh memories! Firsts, lots of firsts there--including that daring first kiss--IN PUBLIC! shame on me) and ya know, I just have the warm fuzzies this morning. So I am up at and at it.

OY! Casey Stratton just came up on my itunes. I haven't listened to him in ages.

Isn't it funny that Casey is how you, Rich and I all met and came together on LJ, and yet we rarely ever talk about him? I do still love his stuff, of course.

Casey's music served a huge purpose and thus time period in my life. Now I listen to his music now and then, and it takes me back to the person I once was. We about wore out the green album (LOL) just right after Kel died. It brought huge amounts of peace to me. I know he had huge issues with it, but it meant alot to me. So there.

That crazy Rich. :)

Yeah, I think most everyone has a Casey story like that, to some degree. I can't say that I do ... I just discovered his SONY album and looked to see what else might be out there. But I've heard lots of people say "his music was the soundtrack to a certain moment in my life." Which is very cool and has to make him feel good.

That crazy Rich indeed ... always instigating!

HARVEST

In fact, this very song playing now randomly on my itunes is a song I really needed to hear, to me it being about a woman's inner strength, and learning that settling is not good enough.

"Look how much has happened
In such a short time"
She says to him
One husband, one wife
Two kids, carpools and saturday rides
She says, "so why am I unhappy with my life?"

You race toward something
You don't know what you'll find
But you'll notice it
When you see it, you say
There must be more out there
Waiting silently
You know your place
But you hate it just the same
So leave before the harvest

She knows that everything seems all right
But surfaces can hide what's inside
He says,"I love you but I'm reflecting less light
Than when I was a child of the night"

You race toward something
You don't know what you'll find
But you'll notice it
When you see it, you say
There must be more out there
Waiting silently
You know your place
But you hate it just the same
So leave before the harvest
Say goodbye to your life

Complacency has wrapped you
Inside her sheet
You wish for something to come
And save you
But no one comes
You must take care of yourself
We all learn that
We all learn that
