Yes, you read that right--a post started Thursday and now it is Sunday. Typical--didn't have time to finish it and now here it is days later.
OH MY GOSH!! DOCTOR WHO!!!
Ahem. Will say no more about THAT... aahhh!!! :)
Anyway, here is what it said....
Thursday night and it is a gorgeous. Hot though. But that's Texas in the summertime. I am so worried about my dear German keeling over in the heat, I've already started contemplating strategies to ensure this does not occur. I've been heat-sick before, and it is difficult to recover from.
And yes, the above does mean that Nick is definitely coming. In just over a month, in fact--yes yes we knew it would all work out, but... Until he went to Berlin and got the last bit of approval...there was still a chance of failure. Which of course would've been fairly devastating. Not talking about me here--I am stoic--but to his plans. It is very important that the internship be performed now, so graduation is not delayed. (and since writing this on Thursday, Nick's now in possession of the Passport w/Visa itself, so it is DEFINITELY all good now! and before July! Good work, Nicholas!)
So, thank heavens, everything is a go.
We've made other plans as well...traveling to see our friends Chelsea and Meghan in California. Chelsea would be she who played with us in San Francisco, and then came here for a week. So much fun!!! We'll be going over Labor Day weekend. Plans are still in the air a bit, but Thai Food and hopefully the San Diego Zoo are in the plans.
We also intend to do lots around here, like a baseball game (Rangers vs. NY Yankees--Nick of course rooting for the Yanks, me for the Rangers--fun!), and we want to catch some live theatre, a concert or two (if anyone good would come), movies... Easy fun stuff around here. There's plenty, and I figure until we get back from California, we will be too hot (lol) to do much.
