Life is very...different.

I am starting to anxious and fretty because I haven't written in days and days.  And days.   This robbery really has driven us around a corner, but thank heavens [livejournal.com profile] talekyn was in town and we were able to spend lots of time with him. That was a real treat, let me tell you!  I wish that he'd come by more often than once a year or so. Pout.  But we got to see him Friday night after the ballet (oh that was fun) and Saturday for dinner and psychological testing (ask N if there any questions on that) and last night we met for a leisurely dinner and a cute waiter (CODY!) and  talked books and writing and life.  Talk about a few hours of heaven.

The insurance check is on the way, but a bit less than I'd hoped. Which sucks, but we'll be able to get some good laptops out of it. The one Nick wants is a little more than the one I want, but likely will let him have it because it will transfer well to Germany (so says the company...hmmm...).  Anyone here use a laptop in the US and abroad, exchanging out adaptors?  The company SWEARS that Nick just has to get the German adaptor and the computer will not explode.  Hmmm.  I want to be sure of that before we buy a laptop but Nick can get so much more bang for the buck here.  Computers are more there for some reason.  Argh.

Anyway.

I'm waiting for Cody (not the waiter one mentioned above) to walk over here and fix Kelly's computer real quick.  That has been another fiasco.  Truly truly.  I just can't even talk about it, I am so freakin' annoyed with cyberpower.com, that built it.  Idiots.  Just needed to replace the power supply and they lied and sent it late then didn't fix the damn computer and did not send the right power supply--ARGH!  So I wiped out my checking account (get paid tomorrow) to get a solid good excellent one, and say SCREW YOU CYBERPOWER!!!!!

And oh, yeah.  My outside a/c unit is failing.  Loverly.  A/C guy coming tonight--$365.00 to fix it, but that is not bad really.

Seriously--one thing or another, huh.

I need a hug.

(and a check in the mail would help matters also)

C, contemplating how horrid it would be if that check doesn't arrive before Monday....

Chris took his laptop to England with him. Bought the power converter here before he left. It should work fine.
Sorry about all the problems. :(
*hugs* ♥

I am going to call the Company in Question and ask a second person, just to make sure. Germany has their own kind of plugs and a different voltage but ours overlaps theirs barely...I don't want to buy this dream computer and then have it go sky high. LOL. Eek. :)

I hope he is enjoying being Dad in LondoN! Is it London where they went?

That would be terrible, yes. :|

I hope Chris is enjoying it. Haven't heard from him since Tuesday. I'm trying not to freak out.
According to a friend of mine, it is, unfortunately, the most expensive part of London. :(
But yes. Royal Holloway University of London.
They are at a bed and breakfast and will get a two bedroom apartment on campus, but rent and such is still expensive.
Hopefully he can get a job to help with expenses.

*Fights a migraine that doesn't want to leave*
