I had a disturbing experience today. I drank too much water...which I've done before so you'd think I'd learn. About 3:30 I started to feel dizzy, my monitor at work started to get fuzzy, and bright like I'd stared into a light then looked at it. I felt nauseous, headachey...which I suppose is not a word, lol.

Fortunately I'd brought my potassium with me. Two pills got me straightened out, then rushed home and cooked steak and grilled onions on my Foreman Grill. Glad I broke that out and dusted it off. It was great! And so fast!

Then had apple pie--oven at 375, cut up apple sprinkled with a mixture of cinnamon and stevia, and apple pie spice...cooked 30 minutes. A little too long for Granny Smith actually--was perfect for the Cameo apple.

I had also skipped my afternoon fruit in order to enjoy it tonight...won't do that again. Seriously messed me up.

I am still feeling a little wonky. Hopefully by 8:30 I will feel well enough to write. This sudden-illness-thang was NOT on today's gameplan!

Tomorrow...less water, regular potassium, and apple-snack at 3:00. No more repeats of this nonsense. Geesh. Idiot.

I've often thought I'd like to get a Foreman grill to use rather than our propane grill all the time, but Ken claims an open flame is better.

Maybe it's because he never has to clean it after it's used...

Hear, hear! LOL I never drink NEARLY enough water myself, if anything, I drink way too little of it and then my head aches because of that. How much exactly do you drink? :\

Well, it IS better! But the Foremans can be used inside! Still do have to be cleaned though...no escape.

I know they need to be cleaned, haha. But I am sure it's easier then the grill is to clean. ;)

They have tiny ones, under 20 bucks. Try it out for hamburger or something. I love it...have had this one for years though and rarely use it for some reason.

I need to Craigslist my grill outside. I never use it.

Eeeek! Sorry you felt headachey! And I use that word, too, so let's have the fellow writing backup that headachey is a word, yeah! Of course it is! Darned water affecting potassium grrrr...

How's stevia, anyway? I keep hearing about it as an alternative to standard cane sugar on various eat-more-organic type blogs, but I don't know what the pricing and sweetness level is like or if it takes on a different flavor like honey does. Do tell, do tell!

Anyway, don't think it's just a Texas thing, just because of hearing about hazing cases where pledges being made to chug water rather than alcohol get sick since it screws with potassium levels.

I feel soooo much better today (and yesterday) that I could cry. I have to make a doc appointment, see if this potassium thing is something I shoulda been doing all along...it has made a world of difference. I feel clear-headed, I don't feel like I am so exhausted I am going to puke (sorry--but that's how I've felt, well before 7 every night...for a long time...), I feel bright and shiny. If this is why, I could seriously cry.

Stevia--meh. I am thinking it is a weird fakey taste, but I have ordered some stevia-drops, flavored, to put in fizzy bottle water. Make my own soda without all the bad stuff. It should be interesting!

It has happened several places, the water-chug thing...last year or so, maybe a couple, a radio station had a water drinking contest. Someone died, because of the horrid loss of electrolites, and everyone got fired. I'll have to look up that case and see what happened.

I felt so good to day I actually updated Andy and Navarre. I simply have been too worn out and sick feeling to have the energy for seaside.

Diet so far: down 8.8 lbs. I had a 2 lb. drop overnight and I have no idea why. BOOM. That I've lost this much this fast proves to me how baaad I've been eating, for too long.

Today: day 2 of no caffeine, too... what has come over me! I FEEL AMAZING!!!!!!
