Bwa ha ha ha...

[identity profile] nocluvok.livejournal.com 2009-02-15 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Uhhh...no, but I'll plead insanity, or stupidity and get away with it.

[identity profile] nocluvok.livejournal.com 2009-02-15 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, you misbehaved first! I'm not the one goofing off instead of writing about that dancer fella.

HEY DUDE... I have written 1614 words today, 1300 yesterday, 1300 the day before...

And, all my edits are up to date.

No slacker here!

Me Done Ben Writing Two

Man is, and will always be, his own worst enemy. Our need to destroy is as tightly woven into our DNA as the desire to create. It is our nature. To merely unlock the secrets of the universe will never be enough. In the name of science, we rush toward Armageddon with open arms, ready to embrace our own destruction.

Just piddling. Kinda sums up my character's feelings on the future of mankind's survival.
On an even deeper level, he believes that good and evil cannot exist without each other. The old "for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." theory.
Not sure if this is going anywhere, and not really positive that I can even make it somewhat believable. I know why a star dies, but actually killing one is a whole nother ballgame. SciFi readers seem to demand a detailed explaination of the science involved and as near as I can tell, ain't nobody out there in cyberspace who has even thought about it enough to comment on the subject.

Dammit. You caught me.

[identity profile] paragraphs.livejournal.com 2009-02-16 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
So. The rumors are true.

You WERE seen in Dallas this weekend at La Hacienda flirting with Cody!

I KNEW IT!!!!!

Hmph!

(do you think I look vaguely drugged in that pic, or is it just me?)

[identity profile] talekyn.livejournal.com 2009-02-16 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
Yes you do.

And I wish I had been where the rumors said I was. Not that being in Memphis Thurs-Fri wasn't fun, but yesterday's travel and today's cancellation of plans have me feeling down and not at all productive.

[identity profile] paragraphs.livejournal.com 2009-02-16 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
oh, bummer huh!!! That's sad. Boo. Hiss. lol.

I thought I did to. LOLOL.

[identity profile] talekyn.livejournal.com 2009-02-16 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
That maniacal look is impressive, though!

[identity profile] nocluvok.livejournal.com 2009-02-16 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
Memphis fun? ROFL. It was just voted the 2nd most miserable place to live. However, if I'd known you were going I coulda had mom and dad set another plate at the table. I was hatched and raised there myself.

[identity profile] talekyn.livejournal.com 2009-02-16 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
Heh. Well, what I meant by fun was "the workshop I was giving went well and the folks I was teaching were fun" and "the ribs at Rendezvous were really good."

But thanks for the offer!

[identity profile] paragraphs.livejournal.com 2009-02-16 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Kevin, meet Anthony. Anthony, met Kevin.

Kevin is way cool.
Anthony is way cool.

LOL.

Y'all are so cool....

[identity profile] talekyn.livejournal.com 2009-02-16 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
Hahah. Thanks for the introduction!

[identity profile] paragraphs.livejournal.com 2009-02-16 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
:)

Kevin's been on the road, but is now off the road. LOL. You, on the other hand, are in the air.

In your own ways, you both have toured the country.

So many similarities!

[identity profile] nocluvok.livejournal.com 2009-02-16 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
Is being off the road like being off my rocker? I have been accused of that more than once...okay, twice, but who's counting?

[identity profile] talekyn.livejournal.com 2009-02-16 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
You're too funny.

Hope you're having a good Monday!

[identity profile] nocluvok.livejournal.com 2009-02-16 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
*sniffle* Make me hungry AND homesick! Not fair! Ain't no place on earth makes better BBQ.

[identity profile] talekyn.livejournal.com 2009-02-16 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
They did live up to the advertising "Best ribs in the South!" The two folks I had dinner with both had the chicken and enjoyed it, but I had to try the ribs.

[identity profile] nocluvok.livejournal.com 2009-02-16 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
Anthony, if you really want to have some fun attend the 4th of July BBQ cooking contest in Memphis. Good food, good music, and fireworks right down on the river...and beers! What more could a fella ask for?

[identity profile] talekyn.livejournal.com 2009-02-16 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Work doesn't send me anywhere near Memphis at that time of year, but I'll have to it out someday!
