I swear, I have not been quite this happy happy about writing in a long time.  Had a great weekend with posting two fics--my first in decades (okay not seriously but might as well be)--and also got lovely news today from my publisher, Loose-Id Publishing.

Look at 8 Under Top Reader Rated!

Apparently Red has been hanging out there for awhile.  *beams*  Not making me rich lol but it sure is sweet.

Now that I've finally poked my big toe in fandom writing and finding a happy place, and I'll be poking the other big toe back into Lee's Story, I feel very writerly indeed.  I am STILL waiting on that revision letter for the other and after two months of going over it (though not in May) I've decided to just wait, see what they say, and then rewrite the damn thing based on that.  Probably smart, huh.

So, back to Lee, and I am SO GLAD!!!

And...writing the sequel to my

[livejournal.com profile] lgbtfest fic.  In all the fests I've ever done--all two of them--I never got responses like this, and not just from TW people since it is a crossover, but from a Being Human fan or two who learned about it from others.  That fandom is tiny tiny, but one of the commentors told me there is a good group out there.  I am curious more than anything as I will not be getting involved.  TW is enough for me, and I won't write George without the TW connection.   A nice plan is forming in my head about the sequel(?).   I love writing chapter fics, but....I don't feel like it for this. Needs to be different than Lee's story, which is of course ms format.

I want a good prompt table or prompt source...any suggestions would be appreciated.  You guys are so amazing!

And okay, since I am so enamoured of these two, does this mean I ship them? LOL.  (I protest!  Vehemently! At least the old, "I WILL SO NEVER WRITE ANY FANFICTION NO CANON FOR ME HELL %$@# no!!!!! protests...I think I give up on that. This weekend was just too damn FUN!

In funny news, I was at Central Market.  Bought a six-pack of Stevia cola.   Well, dingbat here was in line, shifted the groceries around to get ready to put them up to pay for them.   All of a sudden--GUSHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  One of the cans sprung a leak!  I have NO IDEA HOW!!!!  It was just sitting there!!!!   The aluminum must be thinner than air!  GUSH!  I was not embarrassed, it was funny.  Think I sprayed the TCU chic behind me with it. Snort.  That's what she gets for wearing Those Shorts (Nick knows about those shorts--its, like, UNIFORM or something, these silly running shorts).  Anyway, it got cleaned up and I didn't have to pay for it. Grin.

And that is all, folks!  I just got home, need to clean the kitchen put away groceries etc., then say hello to Lee and hope my mind stops drifitng to Andy's POV.  He is DYING to have a say about what I've done to him.  Brat.

*waves to all*

go to my [livejournal.com profile] into_officeboys lj, the top fic is just Andy for a comment-porn battle. That should suit!

I generally don't like cross-overs either. But, Being Human is set not far from Cardiff, the characters are not aliens but werewolf (George, who I write), vampire and ghost...Cardiff deals with strange things from the rift, monsters and such...can just imagine what Captain Jack would think if he knew there were such creatures milling about in Wales!

Also, poor Andy's love of all things supernatural makes putting him with a closeted werewolf too much fun to resist. So, loving George, and loving Andy, wanting to write in Torchwood but deathly afraid of writing Jack and Ianto who I reaaalllly get confused by their canon (it is a mess, and I know both mostly through fanfic canon), made the choice obvious.

Being Human is an amazing show. The premise is so silly--the three unlikely people, 2 guys and a girl ghost, live together in the house the ghost girl was killed in. The boys work in a hospital. Woo. But there is so much more than that--the series is getting darker and darker, the vampires, which thank HEAVENS are not typical vampires--mitchell can go out during the day for instance, just doesn't like the sun much, and they aren't the gothicy type...they have jobs, do things, and are effing evil beneath their toothy smiles...they blend in. Shiver. Love that. The show was picked up for a second series after a hellaciously good ride. And now, a new evil looms...shiver.

Russell Tovey plays George and he absolutely is fantastic. He is so full of angst and misery over his state of being--a brilliant young man with a bright future, ruined when a werewolf attacked him. Now he's a hospital porter? No family? MItchell took him in, feeling sorry for him (oh the slash!). Vampires normally hate werewolves, but...this is GEORGE! He is so SWEET! So GAY! (in real life, places a straight character though...but he is the gayest straight character at times, which is so cute!).

And Tovey? BODY TO DIE FOR UNDER THOSE SCRUBS!!!!!!

LOL. Yup, LOVE this show VERY MUCH! The fandom is TINY but I don't care--I love that fact. SUCH FREEDOM!!!!
