Too tired to report much! We did some interesting things yesterday, that I'll chat about tomorrow. Right now, Nick and I are eating sandwiches and SQUEEING (manly squees in his case of course) over the first episode of TW S3.

Just...

WATCH IT NOW AND ROAR WITH US!!!

It is slaying us that we can't say a word! HA! But... YEAH!

Oh, I can't resist.

_____ _____ __ ______ ____!! ____! _____ ______!!!!!! ____ __ _______ ___ ______________ ___ ___ ____ ___ ___ ____________________________________!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I kid you NOT! Oh, and I forgot, OMG! ____ ____ ____________!!! __ __!!!

Seriously. Yup.

Okay enough of that! Quick update now.

Yesterday: After our very lovely breakfast, we headed on foot to explore Cardiff. It was AMAZING FUN! it is very easy to hit all the areas we want to via our own two feet. Or rather, four feet. With cameras in hand, we first went up into the city, saw Cardiff Castle from a distance, and decided to head down to Mermaid Bay. Being a Sunday, it was rather quiet, honestly--just really nice though. We took lots of pictures of things on the way--there are so many cool shops in the area, but most lol were closed being Sunday. We did dive into the local indie bookstore--very nice! and had that great Bookstore Smell that reminded me of Seattle's big indie store.

Then we passed by the Borders were Barrowman did that booksigning with his sister that apparently blew all the store's records away, and trotted on down to see what we'd come to see.

And yes, we found it.

LOL! Nick was too embarrassed to pose in front of it but I sure didn't care--no one was paying any attention (and btw, that whole area? BUSY AS HELL! they sure clear it out for filming, and there are not one but two coffee shops right up top there--and yup, one is Starbucks, obviously the one where Max Theresa got coffee for everyone. Snort.)

Sad moment: no standing on the Invisible Lift. There's preparations going on for some big event (those damn strawberries are invading) so we were out of luck there. Sigh. Still it was awesome to stand there, and imagine, and see first-hand that which we've watched on TW. You know, being dorky is rather fun!

ANYWAY!

We walked our socks off yesterday, had some good rain, ate incredibly huge hamburgers, and crashed early. Still no luggage but...

WE GOT IT TODAY YAY!!!!!!

We also did a little side-excursion to find some beach we'd been wanting to find, watched some blokes in white playing cricket, threw some rocks, walked a path, and decided that because it was remarkably (shockingly) easy to find what we were looking for, that it was, and is, best I say nothing further about it on my lj.

And yes, we are sure.

So, that wraps up yesterday pretty much. Today, we took an amazing excursion all over the place--still not sure exactly how many miles we covered, but we went basically through Swansee up to Cardigan and down through the Brecon Beacons...more detailed report on our crazy drive tomorrow.

I will say this though--after yesterday and today? I feel completely comfortable driving UK roads now. Roundabouts are a piece of cake, and driving the Skoda? A cinch. (In fact, it is an amazing car--I rather love it! The gas mileage or rather in this case diesel mileage is insane!)

There will be lots of pictures from today, a map of our trip, and impressions of our amazing drive! SO MANY SHEEP!!!! "Look Nick! SHEEP!" (I said that about 20 times or so....)

Tomorrow: Cardiff Castle! Bute Park! A revisit to ________! If the weather is good, we're going to see Boe! And then in the afternoon--again, if the weather holds--we'll do the Brecon Beacons properly.

Right now, after a bunch of Pimms to accompany our viewing, we're rather...tired.

Night kids!

I find myself compelled to ask - What exactly does a manly squee sound like anyway?
You want to hear dorky - I wish I was at the invisible lift so I could jump up and down on the stone and see how long it took someone to stop me, arrest me, or have me commited (or all three?)

LOL Manly Squees sound like...a choking gasp? LOL. Not sure.

No one would pay any attention to you, I imagine. We weren't bothered at all, looking at the tourist office door. LOL. Not even a snicker was heard!

Sounds like you're having an amazing vacation.

If you're in the Brecon Beacons, don't forget to stop in Hay on Wye. I know you're struggling with luggage allowance, but a book lover cannot visit the area without at least wandering around Hay a bit.

Okay I swear I answered this...but THANK YOU!!!! We are planning on going that way tomorrow, as last night we just had to drive quickly through. I'll be writing about that adventure later. LOL.

We love books! (Oh and we did not get a clothing allowance--were told to submit receipts).

Everyone's reactions are slaying me--especially the real militant, angry ones. From an artist's POV I find that very disturbing. It sucks, definitely, about Ianto, but the Jack who we saw take off for places unknown was the real Jack. Tragic as hell.

So many seem to forget this was not the Jack and Ianto Love Crack Fest show!

Still, it is sad, but frankly? I miss Tosh and Owen more than I do Ianto.

Or maybe, rather, I miss the whole TEAM dynamics. That's it (after talking with Nick).

In any case? I am going to be very interested to see where Jack goes next, because I betcha we get to see that. And I am one of those, crazy me, who believes he will love again. (There are many who think he never will but I doubt it--he may not be a human, but he has loved and lost before, and found it again).
