Merry Snowy Christmas!

Well...despite my best intentions, I failed to get Christmas cards out. Between suddenly finding myself plunged into a huge learning curve at work (am now doing GIS work--a month ago I knew nothing about it almost and every night after work I'd come home soooo brain-dead it was scarily humbling), dealing with my daughter's car situation (and now my other car is dead but hopefully that will get fixed Saturday and it will be under warranty, and no, still don't have daughter's car back), and trying to get my reel_torchwood and my yuletide fics done, which I did, and also, having way too many bouts of freak-out-omygosh-why can't life settle down how-am-I-going-to-do-this sessions...I just couldn't seem to get them done. There they sit Over There (points to shelf).

So, when today a photo op presented itself, I decided well, since I didn't get to mail any Christmas Greetings out, I could still do it here with help from my huskies, and an unexpected snowy Christmas Eve. Without further ado, I present to you my Christmas and Holiday Greetings to all my flisters. A huge, warm, loving THANK YOU for making the last years, and especially the last months, very special indeed.

SHE'S MAH DOG! That's why she is awesome. She's a total demanding diva dog. She whomps you when she wants cuddles, and if you're being slow she gets all snarly. Haha.

Shelby's fur is beautiful. When she first came to me, she only weighed 41 lbs. (65 now) and was skin and bones and it took a week of coaxing to get her to eat again. She had been out on the streets for awhile (though as loving as she's become now, she would not avoid the people who would help her). Her fur was a bright crispy orange and now it is deep gorgeous, almost brown in places. She is adorable.

I really wanted a red husky and the Adopt-a-Husky people had just been called about her and didn't have room for her--she was in a shelter in Carrollton. If I hadn't taken her...

But Maddox picked her out and they were buds from the first second they met. So though she was hell on wheels with my female Claire (have since learned that girl huskies will fight to the death, boys just fight for poings) she finally came around after about 9 months of my really wondering what I'd done.

I love that dog! She IS a Diva--just like Nick! They bonded like crazy.

I wanted him to love the new kid so we went to a pet fair thing...there seven homeless pups there and she was the one they thought might be a good fit. He was only 4 months old but knew his woman when he saw her. lol

My cousin did that with her latest cat. They adopted one who would "mesh" with their remaining cat, which I think is funny, because I pick base on availability and I'm all, "LEARN TO LIVE TOGETHER, DAMMIT."

i love the one about halfway down of maddox grinning w/ his eyes closed. awww, puppies! they look so wonderful; i love them!

LOL that picture cracked me up--it was VERY windy last night (sun is shining and it is still now--they are outside in it) so the snow was blowing hard in his face.

ME EITHER! A first white Christmas for my kids and the dogs and only my third or so. :) And this one, the snow actually has stuck around so it can be honestly claimed as a white Christmas. LOL!

aww. puppies! my sam dog is a big fan of the snow too. he liked to run out in it and kick the snow up with his paws. he's quiet immature still. :) and i have to say, shelby is beautifully coloured and i love the first two of maddox.
