Maddox and I walked a mile tonight and he only freaked out once! YAY!!!
Current read: Kushiel's Justice by Jacqueline Carey. I am soooo a fan of these books. I worship them, adore them, and sigh, wish they were mine. LOL. They make me want to get serious with Jax, which I am of course doing. Soon. "Historical fantasy" is how the Carey books have been described. That of course appeals to me. I have actually considered taking my love for historical stuff and putting it into a fantasy context. Hmm.
I have to fill that dumpster on my driveway.
Tomorrow, getting up early (say, 7ish) and knocking myself out for a few hours before it gets hot. See what I can get in there. I already pulled everything from the backyard I want to get rid of (um, like last year's Christmas tree--no kidding) to throw out first. Then I can start on the garage. There will be a pile of stuff at the end of the driveway with "FREE!!!" signs in the hopes that garage-sale-types will see and grab. Kel was such a packrat--we had his entire Grandmother's garage moved over here (grrr) and out that all goes. I sooo cannot wait to be able to park my car in the garage again! There is hardly a thing worth saving except the big wooden desk and the old kitchen cabinet thing. It is unfortunate that that has been in a closed garage for 20 years (before I got it). I doubt there is any sort of hope for its restoration. May try to sell it to someone.
Other things? Not much. Son is on my bed reading--he is a huge Nancy Farmer fan and her newest, The Land of the Silver Apples, is in his hands. On my bed. Sigh. I don't mind really--what parent WOULD mind their kid all curled up and reading??
I am very happy these days.
What else? I ate a burger and onion rings and felt so sick afterwards I, uh, yeah. My fault. Not used to greasy foods and it served me right (yes N, I did indeed get sick--meep). I felt so much better though and NO I do not mean for that to happen. It was just very greasy...eww. But did feel better and went for the walk and worked outside and got physical so that is all good.
Really, next time I crave a burger and onion rings, I will remember this.
Okay gross moments over.
Son has left the room--says he reached page 102 and is going to go play on computer now.
And so, I am going to hop into my own bed and read for awhile.
