I have now applied to be readmitted to UTA, I have applied to the University Studies program, I have applied for FAFSA (for son and myself). How I wish I could just go to school full-time--I'd be done by the end of the year if I could. Unemployment encourages education, but we still have to look for jobs, and it only lasts so long. DAMMIT I wish I had got my head together faster, got into school this semester. Dammit dammit dammit.

Regarding going on to get a masters in library science. Recently I've experienced some discouragement in that area, but I've decided to push past that. I don't want to work in a public school or a city library. In truth, what I want is the Masters of Arts in Library Science, due to its emphasis on research. I want to work at a university somewhere, or in some other situation where I can happily research amazing things. Specialize in an area or something. A thesis is required for the MALS, which initially made me scream and panic, but good grief, I am a writer, I love research--hello, what is wrong with me? Of course I can handle it. There is nothing else I want to do, but this. Oh and the writing thing, which is a given of course.

So many regrets in the past, but that's just part of life, I guess. At least this I can do something about, yes?

OH HEY! THAT SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE WHAT I WANT TO DO. Except I'd rather work for a private company or museum. ♥ I wish you all the good luck, love. I know you are awesome.

I can answer you now! Though I already did on Twitter, yo.

I'm quite entranced by a university setting, finding some cool college town somewhere... Not sure, but I just love research, I was so darn happy when I was researching all the railroad stuff before I went and volunteered myself to learn GIS. THAT I don't like, though I could do it. But the happy days of helping people uncover the mysteries sunk into the railroad? Sniffles. YES I LOVE. Sigh. I can't go back there though--those days are over--but there will be something else, somewhere else.

I should've done this years ago, but yeah. I wasn't ready yet. Now I can't wait to get going. Mostly I have to take history classes, too, which is my most favorite subject, and an algebra class, least favorite. Although I like algebra better than geometry, and am fairly eager to see if I am a better, more dedicated student now.

I better be!

That's right, you will get to hear me whine and cry about Algebra, moan about writing papers (eventually) and me boring you with exciting facts about history that will make you say, "Yes dear, uh huh mmmmm..."

Randomly, I know they have a lot of openings at the University that I work at (I work in an actual teaching hospital but am paid through the college of medicine - semantics, let me show them to you) and they're paid quite well to do what they do in regards to the researching, etc.

And I don't think it matters at what time in your life when you decide you're passionate about something....GO FOR IT!!!!!

Due to LJ's being under attack, I'm so behind with commenting.

But I just wanted to stop by and tell you that your plan sounds great. You can handle this! Wishing you good luck!

Congratulations! I hope you have a great time in classes and such. You know you can always complain to the internet if you don't. :D

Plus, it's great that you know what you want to do. The best of luck in getting there, you seem to be on the right track.

(TOTALLY UNRELATED NOTE. I was on a c road in Wales! I wasn't driving, so I managed to not freak out at the .2 inches of space the car had on each side.. WE PASSED SOMEONE RIDING A HORSE. They ducked on a side road and waved. A HORSE.)

OMG How funny, aren't C roads fun? Most we encountered was a lady and her dog--she pressed the dog between herself and the hedge.
