Broadcasting: To All the Animal People Out There

SIGH: Piper passed away this morning--they got the call at 3:30 a.m. that her tumor had ruptured. They were able to say goodbye, thankfully, but the sweet piperkins is gone now. Thanks to all who reached out to Blue--quite a few did! She has a post on her lj re: the donation money, and what would be best at this point. Thanks everyone, so very awesome.

One of the most special people I know, Blue aka blue_fjords, is in urgent need of some help. Her beloved pupster Piper, a darling Beagle girl, is very sick, and is currently in the puppy hospital. The doctors have figured out what is wrong, thank goodness, but she needs surgery and Blue and her roommate M are finding that it costs more than they have available right now.

Thankfully once they get Piper's fever down and stabilized, there should be some time before they have to do the surgery. The doctors believe that she can be helped, so that is awesome. Blue is a fabulous cook, especially of cupcakes :), and is offering her wonderful baked goods to raise funds to help her puppy. See here for details: Help Piper.

I know too well (being on unemployment myself) how tough times are, but every little bit would so help. Thank you! Hope you can help, and pass the word, too, if you can.

I saw! Blue is just one of the most caring special amazing people ever--she was one of those who helped all the animals after Katrina, and does all she can for animals.

I sent my 4th application out today. All part time. I'm a bundle of nerves and I'll probably end up applying for one in DC. :/ I have no idea if that is the appropriate emoticon. :\ Does it go the other way?

I am loving being off. Seriously do, and last week after finally winning my fight against The Rat Bastard, I just want to enjoy myself. But I only have so many weeks I can... LOL. AAHHH!

Wish I could work part-time. That would be awesome.

I think there is a huge difference btwn giving up TX for DC and giving up NY for DC. I'm already thinking about how I can fly home on weekends.

Dammit, Piper passed away this morning--took a huge turn for the worse, and her tumor ruptured and poisoned her blood stream. So sad. Going to close this post--or change it I think, as I don't want Blue to be sad. :*(
