Seventeen days until Long Way Home is finally out, whee!! Yes of course I am counting down the days. Sillies.

This was a quiet weekend. Lots of reading to do, went shopping for a couple of recipes - the baba ganoush sucked and got thrown out, but the 'pasta-less total-vegan lasagna' is cooking happily in the crockpot. For the first time, we finally had that lovely 'hint of fall' in the air so the back door has been open and the pups have been in and out, though have been in when I think they should be out. LOL. Dorky dogs. I honestly am so very grateful it is October. Yay for summer being over! Although, July's trip to the UK definitely was the big bright time, making this summer awesome.

Merlin - yes, I loved it! Watched it twice, am absolutely enamoured of the 35mm. It truly makes a huge difference. It is kinda funny though, seeing places where Nick and I tromped around ourselves - especially the woodsy scenes which for us were filled with the sounds of kids kids and more kids. Bradley James has, I gotta admit, completely stolen me with this episode. Thought he did a fabulous job with all the little moments, both serious and tender, the scary scenes (WHEE! SCARY!) and the funny scenes. I loved the buddy moments between him and Merlin, also, and he and the knights. I like how this character finally is acting like a King-to-be. :) Looking forward to next week!

Supernatural - yes, I loved it! But I am keeping my mouth shut about everything because it doesn't matter anyway. LOL. Next week should be interesting.

Writing - talked with the editor about horror in m/m fiction and she likes my idea I have so am going forward with planning that, to be my project for Nano. ZOMBIES!!!!!!!!!!! LOL. This should be fun!

Here's the lasagna as it starts to cook. I think we'll be eating this for a few days. LOL.

I don't understand why there is lettuce on top of your lasagna! Is that a texas thing? (I also do not understand why it is in a crockpot.)

Jinx says the veggie "lasagna" looks so yummy. I agree. I got some bolognese sauce so tuesday night when I'm home I can make a giant batch of pasta to eat all week long!! rehearsals start wednesday night so I have bought all the soup ever for quick late night meals.

gotta get that crockpot in rotation too :)

It actually simmered down to half the size which was amazing. Very good stuff though I think I will just make it in the oven next time.

I am always look ing for pasta alternatives as I just can't eat pasta and stay awake. I think all my bad genetics are catching up to me. :*(

OMG!!! Your birthday!

LOL It could totally flop. It is nothing like ARTS and I am afraid readers will expect that. I will never write another book like that. Can't. But, I am cheerily optimistic! *bites nails*

As you have forbidden me from saying what I have learned about what your readers expect, I shan't. I think the most annoying thing that will happen is all the reviews will compare the two, for better or worse.

Yay my birthday!! I guess you know what to get me! :) But I'm sad because it will be 10 years before I can have a birth year with the same two numbers in it.

You know, you can talk about Supernatural w/ me...

You'll have to tell me how your vegan cheese did, and what brand you used.

C, I've been making cupcakes all day and I'm exhausted. But they're all frosted and awaiting nommage, so that's good.

It's almost 16 days...

I liked the almond cheese, do not like the Daya cheese at all. Almond cheese is expensive though - almost 5 bucks for a small bit - but the taste is light and creamy and not 'fake' like the Daya brand. Honestly, I rather do without than use the fake stuffs, but Tiff wanted cheese.

Also - I used seasoned silken tofu for the ricotta. I liked that a lot - slightly different but similar enough texture.

YES SUPERNATURAL - I am so hoping this week will be lots of quiet time at work as I have things to do! LOL. LIke... talk to you about your thoughts re: this episode.

Okay sure! brb.... Here you go! I used tofu for the ricotta, and fake and almond cheese since Tiff has issues with dairy (which makes her sorta-vegan, but she likes eggs, so yeah).

I got the website from Mander. :)

A COCK-FIEND? OH wait, CROCK-FIEND.

I am not a crock-fiend as I think sometimes crockpots just are overkill. This came out really well but ended up more stew-ish than anything. Definitely not layers, but definitely delicious. :) I'll make it again but in a pan, I think.

I put the recipe source in an answer to Kel Reiley's comment. It is easy but it turned more into lasagna stew. LOL.

LWH will be available via Loose-Id, AMazon, B&N and several other outlets. I'll holler when it is available!
