Have you ever been so behind on something that when you finally do have a chance to catch up, there is just so much you haven't seen/read/done, it all becomes overwhelming?

That's me right now.

I am behind on...reading, writing, responding, commenting...  So much I want to read and comment on (in just a quick glance) that it is depressing because I can't stop long enough to do so because work is crazy, and  at home the ghetto computer is in constant-freeze mode so thus useless.

Work--sucks majorly at the moment.  Big project comes in--I am swamped with other stuff so they bring a guy down from Topeka. Problem is, they did not send someone who has done this before--in fact, he is so clueless I learned only today that he has not been dividing up things like he is supposed to--ARGH!! And so the decision now has been made that today, I will work on that project again and nevermind all the other stuff I have going on. And he leaves tomorrow...so Monday, the big dogs decided well, Carolyn just can scan ALL the things not finished today!  Whether it is needed for the project or not!  BRILLIANT!

WTF????

I am not impressed.  Stop fcking around with things and go away, people  who do not understand how to make a project run, gee, SMOOTHLY!!!!

And then there is the other bloke in Topeka who had requested stuff from me, I sent the stuff to him and he just kinda assumed *I* would deliver it? HELLO?  I do not know who he was getting it for! MORONS!!!!!!!

The problem is, the old are not training the new--and that is a very dangerous thing.  Very dangerous.

The only silver lining of the day is leaving early--my a/c totally bombed out last night, but it was lovely with the windows open and such (and the dogs ran in and out happily--they loved it).  The part is in, and a/c guy Chuck (who is awesome) will be there to fix it, late afternoon.  Can't ask for better end to the day, that.

Except, perhaps, for the insurance check to get here today, so Nick and I can go shopping for computers.  (Not holding my breath--Monday the insurance guy said 'hopefully the hurricane won't delay anything...')

Yeah, right.

Ah, C! I was hoping things would turn around with that Topeka guy. Total bummer. I think you should go back to La Hacienda and flirt with Cody a while ... that'll take your mind off of work!

And good that the AC is being fixed, because you may be okay with just the breeze, as well might Nick and TT (see, now I'm even abbreviating Kelly's nickname), but we both know Tiff can't live without it!

You're forgiven if you don't get to my LJ to answer my "tell me how we met in three sentences or less" post! *grin*
