Just wanted to drop a quick note to say thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes. It was really awesome to have so many drop me notes or announce it in their journals! I really do appreciate it, very very much.

What a weekend. I am still recovering, I think! June is here, TOMORROW, and only 33 days to go until vacation! YES!

So much to be happy about. Smile.

Y'all are awesome.

Heh. I have been remiss in everything lately that is not a vampire and/or zombie from outer space, so.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

I am so lucky to know you. ♥ You deserve everything you want.

Thanks KL--lol. I am behind on lots of things too, else I would've thanked everyone yesterday!

I'm still trying to figure out if I accomplished anything this weekend other than do a bit of laundry, clean the kitchen, and fix the fence. Uh, no, haven't accomplished a thing.

Cannot wait to read your zombies!

Fixing the fence sounds pretty impressive, even if you just had to tighten some screws or something, so I say you call it productive. :)

I didn't get ANYTHING accomplished. I mean, I climbed a tree, and edited roughly 25k, but um...my laundry is still dirty mostly and I still have my friend's slush pile to go through.

I AM GOING TO BE SO GLAD TO GET THIS POSTED. I should know in the next few days what my post date is. I kind of hope it's early, just because sitting on this is going to be hard.

well, it seems my huskies were industriously tunneling into the neighbor's yard. Neighbors came over to complain, and what we figured out is that the wife is scared to death of my dogs.

It makes me very sad, but as Nick pointed out--they are high energy, wolf-like aka wildlike, people tend to be afraid of them first reaction unless they are dog people. Sigh--they are certified cream puffs, the both of them, but the neighbor is very freaked that Maddox was sticking his snooter under the fence.

So, I pulled the railroad ties out of the dog pen (too hot now to use it until the fall returns) and dug out troughs to put the ties in, then packed the dirt in AND reinforced with heavy bricks. So, I guess that was something... lol.

Climbed a tree? My backyard tree is the perfect climbing tree. If I were a kid, I'd be up it in a flash. I loved climbing trees back in the day.

I am waiting on someone's big bang to go over this week and she best be crackin' as I am eager to get to it. Grin.

I kinda wish I was signed up for another challenge. They kinda help. I'm trying to work out a way to wrap up a fic idea I've had forever--and of course have other stuff that needs work on. Didn't touch ay of it. ARGH!

Oh well.

Tomorrow is another day.

Happy birthday!

As for your vacation, I feel like I've been counting down with you (I was married for 9 months before I could move to Germany to be with my hubby!) and I'm so excited for you that its sooooooooo close!

I envy you your time in Germany. I'll only have 2 weeks on this visit and I think I'm already having a hard time with that. Heck I know I am.

Hope he is feeling better, btw... still sad about your ferrets. Sigh.

He is feeling about a million times better. I hate that I had to do it, and I miss them TONS (Ash just does not give the same kind of snuggles), but I know it was the right thing to do.

I don't remember where exactly you're going, but I lived in Ansbach, which is about 30 minutes west (I think) from Nurnberg. I can recommend some stuff to see if you'll be near there. Or, if you're in the south, Lake Chiemsee, which I've probably misspelled. It's the largest body of water in the country with an island in the middle. There's a castle on the island that is supposed to be amazing, but I never had a chance to go out to see that.

Anyway, you'll have a blast!

LOl well we're far East Germany...Nick grew up in the area so we'll be tromping around familiar grounds. Only in Germany a week--the first week, we'll be in Wales! OMG! Insane! I am very excited about that--a bit nervous, too--as neither of us know the country at all. gulp. We'll figure it out though, one way or the other. I hope. LOL!!!

Sounded like the girl who took them loves ferrets. Have you talked to her at all?

I also just skimmed your lj and saw you got a little satisfaction re: Petsmart. Unreal!

They've been doing well and adjusting nicely. Thank goodness they could all go together.

PetSmart is still fighting me, though. I have a hearing over the unemployment with them on Thursday. I'm fairly sure I'll be in the clear, but I'm still nervous as hell. If I lose, I have to pay back everything I've goten in the past 6 months.

Great happy belated wishes, and belated thanks for your kibitzing on the coatfic!

Your weekend sounds far more productive than mine. Actually, mending a fence sounds pretty satisfying, too. :)

Thank you! And I enjoyed it, very much--both the kibitzing and the fic itself. Grin.

Well, I am still not satisfied with the fence--it will be hotwired before I head for Germany. I am terrified of the pups digging out when I am gone. I'll already be worried to pieces about them--they are high maintenance and must have lots of attention or else will go nuts. Literally!

I have the plans but I've been really feeling a bit leached lately. The doc cut my bp meds in half, thought it would help more than it did (was running around with low bp).

Of course, I was very bad to myself this weekend--eating out, having drinks, cheesecake (which made me sick lol), staying out late Friday night--so serves me right for being whipped. But it is MONDAY now--this is silly! LOL.

Am thinking I could use some good mega vitamins or something. Or more protein. Or something. LOL. Once I get this settled I hope to have the energy to actually get somethign done this month!

I hear you on that. *nods*

I think that the physical side might be the only downside to age. I realise that I can't pull off all nighters like I used to do, and it bugs me a lot. There are times when I'm doing fine and others when I need to take more care of myself and balance my energy - particularly when I'm travelling or going out a lot. It always messes up my schedule and I find it hard to get back on track, even when the single events are fun to do.

The intake of vitamins seems like a good idea. Maybe you could ask your doc which ones would be best for you? And rather spend your money on quality vitamins than on taking all of them on a general level.
